As Chancellor of the World Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the upcoming annual meeting of our society which will take in Prague from September 2-4, 2025. We will have several sessions focusing on adult Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular surgery. Important aspects of the meeting will be new and Innovative Techniques in Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Treatment of End Stage Heart and Lung Failure.
As many of you know, Prague is one of the most exciting and attractive cities in Europe and the Executive Board of WSCTS is extremely proud that Professor Jan Pirk agreed to organize this Congress with The Executive Board of WSCTS in his beautiful city of Prague!

Abstract Paper Submission
- All full abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
- The document must not exceed one A4 page in length. The word limit is 350 words, including references and acknowledgments.
- The uploaded file size must not exceed 10 MB.
- Please structure the text as follows: Introduction/Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions, References (up to five citations), and, if applicable, Acknowledgments.
- Standard abbreviations do not require explanation. Any other abbreviations must be defined in brackets when first introduced in the text.
- Authors are responsible for the content and language quality of the full abstract.
- An automatically generated confirmation will be sent to your email address. If you do not receive it within an hour, please first check your spam folder and then contact us at wscts2025-abstracts@guarant.cz.
- If you need to make changes to your submitted full abstract, you may edit it at any time before the submission deadline. Please do not submit your full abstract more than once.
- Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their full abstract via e-mail by 23 May 2025.
- The presenting author of an accepted full abstract commits to attending the WSCTS 2025 Conferenceand presenting the abstract at the session scheduled by the Scientific Committee. If necessary, one of the co-authors may present in their place.
